Admin Overview
Getting oriented as an Edison Watch administrator.
As an administrator, you manage team access, configure MCP servers, and monitor organization-wide security.
Admin Capabilities
When signed in as an Admin or Owner, you have access to additional navigation tabs:

| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Users | Manage team members, API keys, and roles. |
| Roles | Configure fine-grained access control policies. |
| Policies | Define rules for blocking and tagging activity. |
| Servers | Add and configure MCP servers for the organization. |
| External Config | Set up SIEM and server endpoint integrations. |
Quick Start for Admins
If you're new to administering Edison Watch, follow these steps:
1. Configure Servers
Go to the Servers tab to add the MCP servers your team needs (e.g., Filesystem, GitHub).
2. Set Tool Permissions
Within each server's configuration, classify tools by their risk level (Private Data, Untrusted Content, etc.). This determines when users must approve actions.
3. Review User Access
Visit the Users tab to see who has authenticated. Promote trusted team members to the Admin role if they need to manage configurations.
4. Monitor Activity
Use the Sessions and Agents tabs to watch data flows in real-time and identify high-risk activity patterns.
