Desktop Client
Install the Edison Watch desktop app to give admins visibility into employee AI usage and to quarantine new MCP servers.
The Edison Watch desktop app is installed on every employee's machine. It does two things:
- Admin visibility. It routes each employee's AI-agent traffic through Edison so admins can see, in the dashboard, which agents are running, which MCP servers they connect to, and what tool calls they make. Without the desktop app running, that employee's activity is invisible to admins.
- MCP quarantine. It watches the config files of every supported AI agent and holds newly detected MCP servers until an admin approves them, preventing shadow MCPs.
It also injects the Edison proxy into each agent's configuration and prompts users to review any credentials found in those configs.
Detailed guides for installing the desktop client, connecting agents, reviewing quarantined servers, and troubleshooting are coming soon. In the meantime, see MCP Quarantine for the approval flow and Monitoring Organization for what admins see in the dashboard.
